A remarkable first half-year for Elengy terminals
The first half of 2019 was a success for the Elengy LNG terminals. 115 LNG carriers received at our terminals and, above all, a 40% increase in loaded trucks compared to the first half of 2018.
This flow of activity within our port infrastructures is reflected in remarkable results, particularly thanks to the months of March and April, which enabled Elengy LNG terminals to record unloaded quantities
At the end of this first half-year, 86.9 TWh had been unloaded, compared with 59.5 TWh in the first half of 2018.
Concerning the activity of our tanker trucks, we have seen a vertiginous growth. Elengy went from 2837 tanks loaded in the first half of 2018 to 4072 tanks loaded in in the first half of 2019, an increase of 40%.
As a reminder, a loading bay at Fos Cavaou will be commissioned in the second half of 2019, which will increase our loading capacities again in order to support the strong development of the LNG truck loading activity
These results clearly demonstrate that LNG is an essential resource for the future, and that Elengy is fully consolidating its status as the leader of the LNG terminalling in Europe.
