"Rhône CO2" Call for Expressions of Interest

03 June 2024

SPSE et Elengy  are launching a joint Call for Expressions of Interest « Rhône CO2 »

As of June 3, 2024, SPSE and Elengy are launching a "Rhône CO2" Call for Expressions of Interest (AMI) to identify CO₂-emitting industrialists (CCS) and CO2 utilization project developers (CCU) interested and ready to commit to the development of the Rhône CO2 Project and its infrastructures by 2030.

The Rhône CO2 project [link to project page/Rhône CO2] is intended to open up to the various industrial players in the Rhône valley and the Fos-sur-Mer industrial port zone, a dense industrial fabric of emitters often with fatal CO2 emissions. Its aim is to develop the infrastructure of a CCUS chain along the Rhone valley, enabling CO2 to be transported by SPSE pipelines either to the existing Fos Tonkin terminal operated by Elengy, where it will be liquefied and exported to permanent geological storage areas, or to sites for CO2 recovery and utilization.

Interested industrial transmitters and CCU project leaders should register by e-mailing the confidentiality agreement (downloadable below) to :
 rhoneco2@spse.fr and fostonkin-development@elengy.com

The deadline for submitting expressions of interest is July 1st, 2024.
